Kay King Media Center
The Media Center is greared to serve Desert Sands K-12 teaching and administrative staff. In addition to conventional media center support services, our program includes maintaining a circulating library to augment individual school-site library services.
All materials may be checked out directly at the media center or ordered via school mail or telephone. Please keep book orders at 45 items and videotapes at maximum of 3. Replacing materials more often will insure the variety necessary to keep student interest high.
In addition to the circulating library, the following equipment is provided to assist teachers who wish to develop their own visual aids:

25-inch roll laminator available (schools must furnish laminating film)
Call ahead if you wish to use the laminator - it may save an unnecessary trip! Laminator use is notably heavy around holidays and at the beginning of school.

Laser Disk Player

Chart printer (prices $3.00 small, $5.00 large) Check with principles before making charts, since the school may cover the cost if materials are for the classroom instruction.

Slide projector
Duplicating equipment is available to backup cassettes and videotapes within the limits of the copyright law.
